Tayberry (Rubus fruticosus x idaeus)

One of the most delicious red fruits in existence! The Buckingham® Tayberry is one of the most recent blackberry-raspberry hybrids, offering the highest quality fruit with a high yield and no thorns, making it one of the best varieties on the market. This blackberry-raspberry hybrid produces very large, raspberry-red fruits that are very sweet and have an exquisite flavour. It also has a very long harvest season, with fruits that can be picked throughout the summer. Tayberry plants are extremely cold-resistant and also have a late flowering period, so spring frosts are not usually a problem for these plants.

In Spanish, the Tayberry is often mistakenly confused with the Tayberry, as both were developed by the Scottish Crop Research Institute, but unlike the Tayberry, the Tayberry is not a hybrid, it is a new variety belonging to the European species Rubus fruticosus.
