Blackcurrants (Ribes nigrum)

Who said there are no sweet blackcurrants? Now you have the world’s largest blackcurrant, and it’s sweet too! Thanks to its superior fruit-to-seed ratio (it has almost no seeds) and its sweet flavor, it offers a completely new cassis-eating experience. With this groundbreaking variety, you’ll take blackcurrant cultivation to the next level. Cassissima® Black Marble® is much more resistant to diseases like powdery mildew and downy mildew, so it typically retains all its leaves until autumn, providing beautiful reddish autumnal colors. It’s also an incredibly vigorous, upright, and highly productive variety. An early-maturing variety, it’s one of the earliest blackcurrants to be harvested, with fruit ready as early as June.
