Rubus spectabilis

The Salmonberry is one of the most striking raspberries, both for its violet flowers and its bright orange-salmon fruits, hence its name. It is a medium-vigour plant, very robust and resistant, with small thorns, and it is in April/May when we see its beautiful flowers that delight everyone’s eyes. Salmon raspberries have a sweet flavour and are also very firm. Unlike other raspberries, they are more stocky and leafy, as they tend to produce more stems from the base at a lower height, making them ideal for small hedges.

They are harvested in June.
