Red Aronia

Aronia arbutifolia

The red aronia ‘Brilliant’ is one of the red berries with the highest antioxidant power. The aroniaberry is an extremely hardy and resilient plant, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and poor soil. Aronia arbutifolia produces beautiful red berries and, like Aronia melanocarpa, boasts some of the most spectacular reddish autumn colors, in addition to its lovely white flowers in spring.

When fully ripe, the red chokeberry also turns black, somewhat similar to the red mulberry.
