Rubus idaeus x occidentalis

Without a doubt one of the biggest new developments, and one you will only find here exclusively! The purple raspberry is the latest innovation in raspberry varieties, and thanks to its spectacular colour, you will definitely want to have it in your garden, orchard or terrace.

The purple raspberry® comes from a cross between black raspberries and red raspberries, combining the best of both. On the one hand, purple raspberries have a very high antioxidant content, but unlike black raspberries, they produce much larger, sweeter and juicier fruits, while retaining the spectacular aroma of black raspberries, giving purple raspberries a unique and exquisite flavour.

Purple raspberry plants are extremely productive and very hardy, just like black raspberries, but purple raspberries have very few thorns and are small in size. They grow vigorously, with very upright stems that can easily exceed 2 metres in height. This variety is also remontant or double-cropping, meaning that the first purple raspberries will be harvested from the new stems.

They are harvested in spring and from late July until autumn.
