Actinidia arguta x melanandra

Ken’s Red is a kiwiberry variety developed in New Zealand, resulting from a cross between Actinidia arguta var. cordifolia and Actinidia melanandra. Its main characteristic is its striking, incredibly violet fruit, both in the skin and flesh, with this color being more pronounced in mini kiwis exposed to sunlight. Its flavor is excellent, though slightly less aromatic than other varieties. Like all female kiwi varieties, it requires a male plant (Weiki) for pollination.
