Rubus idaeus

The thornless dwarf orange raspberry is the latest and most recent addition to the raspberry family! At Arándanos el Cierrón, we are constantly searching for the most incredible red fruit plants to offer you, and this variety is proof of that.

The dwarf orange raspberry belongs to the dwarf red fruit group, just like its sisters, the dwarf red raspberry and the dwarf yellow raspberry. Thanks to its compact size of less than 100 cm in height, it is ideal for growing in pots in our urban gardens, whether on terraces, balconies or rooftops.

It produces spectacular and delicious aromatic light orange raspberries, on a par with peach raspberries, one of the highest quality varieties on the market. There are also two things that make this dwarf raspberry special: the stems are thornless and the fruits turn apricot to orange when fully ripe. It is definitely worth waiting to harvest until the yellow fruits turn orange, at which point we can fully experience their exquisite flavour.

Red, yellow and orange dwarf raspberries are perfect for combining together, as they have a very similar growth pattern and ripening time.

They are harvested from July until autumn.
