Japanese Honeysuckle – Lonicera japonica Aureoreticulata

Japanese honeysuckle is one of the fastest-growing Lonicera species, capable of growing more than 1 meter annually, reaching a final height of about 3 meters. These plants require little care and are undemanding in terms of soil. They are recommended for planting in sheltered or partially shaded locations, both as climbers and ground cover. These plants have very distinctive leaves with their green color and yellow veins. Their fragrant flowers are initially white and turn yellow over time, blooming between June and August.

Japanese honeysuckle plants also produce fruit, which are small, black berries with a light waxy coating. They are ideal plants for covering gazebos, pergolas, and all types of supports.
