Lonicera japonica Halliana “Japanese Honeysuckle”

The Halliana Japanese honeysuckle is characterized by its vigorous growth, reaching up to 6 meters in height, with annual growth of almost 2 meters on suitable support. These plants have semi-evergreen leaves on vigorous stems that twine around trees or supports. It thrives in poor soils and prefers partial shade, and can withstand frost during harsh winters.

Like other Japanese honeysuckles, it produces beautiful, fragrant white flowers that turn yellow and bloom continuously on young shoots from June to October; however, this variety is exceptionally floriferous.

The Halliana Japanese honeysuckle is an excellent climber for covering large areas, tall supports, or for screening unsightly buildings or structures. Thanks to its vigorous growth, it is also a good choice as ground cover in large garden areas.
