Red-Leaf Currants

Ribes nigrum

A novel variety of currant with beautiful red leaves. Its attractive red leaves decorate our gardens or patios from spring until late autumn, when the leaves gradually darken, reaching beautiful shades of deep red wine.

This red-leafed variety is very hardy and, like all currants, produces medium-sized bunches of black fruit with a mild, slightly sweet flavor and aromas reminiscent of blackcurrants.
